I LOST MY RING!!!

OK OK This is not about fashion or beauty....

Last Friday I lost my ring.
A ring that my mom gave me almost five years ago. I can't believe I lost it! Gosh I'm so mad. I never removed it, there's actually a ring mark on my left ring finger where the ring the was. My birthday is on September and my advance wish is to find it.

Do you guys know how can I find it? Spells? Chants? lol anything!

3. UGLY FEET (flaunt or fix)

Not everyone have ugly feet. But for the few who have it, it's a burden. You can't wear sandals or other open shoes without being self conscious.

Ugly feet sound so...UGLY and mean! So from now on I will call it "special feet".

*So here are a few tips and tricks to help cure the "special feet" syndrome.

Cracked Heels
Dry cracked heels are usually caused by prolonged standing or wearing shoes that are not right for you.

You can Shea Butter and lather it on your feet. Put on socks and leave it on over night. Do this every night until the dead skins are totally gone. You can buy herbal foot creams or a cracked heel creams in any drugstores. And remember to only use pure/natural creams.

Swelling
Minor swelling is caused by walking or standing in a long period of time.

To treat swelling drink a lot of water, reduce salt intake and exercise. You also use pedicure soaks or simply go to a spa.

Odor
Foot odor is caused by bacteria feeding on the dead skin.

First, you need to choose a good anti-bacterial soap. Thoroughly dry your feet and apply foot spray or foot powder especially between the toes afterwards.

Calluses
Calluses are caused by constant friction and pressure on the skin.

For a home remedy, soak you feet in warm water for 15 minutes. This will reduce the swelling and soften calluses. After soaking, use a foot file to smooth thing down. Finally, moisturize with herbal cream.

SHOES!!!
Some of the shoes you can wear even if you have “special feet”.

Pump

Skimmer

Bootie

These shoes are perfect for the obvious reason- they cover most of your feet and hides those unsightly bits.

2. COMPLEXION (fix or flaunt)

Having a healthy complexion is important. It’s not only for health reasons but also for aesthetic reasons. So how can you have a healthy skin?

BASIC MUST HAVE SKIN CARE PRODUCTS:
- facial scrub
- facial wash
-
toner (for proper PH balance)
- moisturizer (SPF 15 or higher)

Depending on your skin type, you may need a different moisturizer for morning and for evening. The best advice I can give is to consult a dermatologist. They can diagnose any skin problems and give you the information about your skin.

Scrubbing should only be done once or twice a week. Overdoing it will do your skin more harm that good. Don't apply the scrub to the eyelids.

Cleansing should be done twice a day, morning and night. It will rejuvenate your skin in the morning and clean your face at night. Never wash your face with water that is too hot or too cold.

Toning is important to remove residues from the cleanser leaving your skin truly clean and it restores the right PH balance in your face. Do this every time after cleansing your face.

Moisturizing should be done every time you wash your face. Every skin type needs regular moisturizing, so even if you have oily skin you still need to use a moisturizer. In the morning, you should use a moisturizer that has at least SPF 15.

MYTHS ABOUT SKINCARE:

Myth #1 Alcohol-free toner is the best
It is not necessarily the best. It really depends on your skin type.

Myth#2 Chocolates, nuts and other greasy foods will make you break out
Nothing you eat causes acne.

Myth #3 Drinking 2 liters of water will make skin look better
In the BBC series “The Truth about Food” proved that NOT drinking 2 liters of water daily does not affect your skin. They water form food and other beverages are enough.

I’m not saying that you should completely give up water though. Water is still important.

Myth#4 Hypoallergenic products can’t cause skin irritation
Hypoallergenic lotions and cosmetics are generally safe, and less likely to cause a reaction, but that doesn't mean there isn't some possibility.

*** Use a moisturizer that is non-comedogenic (it won’t clog your pores), allergy tested and dermatologist tested. Use a water-based moisturizer during summer.

1. HAIR (flaunt or fix)

I recently did a survey on what do people notice first and the results are:
75 % hair
, 20% makeup and 5 % nails

So taking care of you hair is definitely important. Here are the basics.

There are 6 key things to achieve the perfect hair. These are brushing, shampooing, conditioning, rinsing, drying and putting products.

BRUSHING
Brushing may seem like an easy daily task. But most people don’t brush their hairs properly. The most important thing to know about brushing is, you should NEVER brush your hair when it is wet. It can damage your hair and cause hair breakage.
Brush dry hair before shampooing because this removes tangles and dead hair. Brushing hair before going to bed also helps because this helps regulate hair growth.

SHAMPOOING
First you need to choose the right shampoo for your hair. There are a lot of shampoos out there that will respond to your needs.

Wet hair thoroughly with warm water. Put a small amount of shampoo on your palm and rub. Work it in your hair form roots to tips.

*If you have oily roots but dry end, only apply the shampoo on the roots of your hair. Leave the length and ends, the suds will trickle down and clean it.

CONDITIONING
Just like shampoos, you should use the right conditioner for your hair. After rinsing hair, squeeze excess amount of water. Put an appropriate amount of conditioner on your palm based on the length and type of your hair. Start at the ends and gradually move upward.

*If you have fine hair, only condition the ends of the hair. Over conditioning will weigh your hair down and will make it look flat.

RINSING
Rinsing is very important.
If you will not rinse thoroughly, residues may build up and can cause dandruff. The last rinse should be done with COLD water. This will close the cuticle and this will make hair look healthy and shinny.

DRYING
The best is to air dry hair. But if you don’t have time to do it blow drying is fine as long as you will do it properly.

Blot hair with towel. Separate hair into sections, this will make blow drying easier. Blow dry about 5 inches away from your scalp. Remember to always move the blower so that your hair won’t BURN!

Try not to blow dry more than 4 times a week.

PRODUCTS
If you blow dry your hair, putting products such as moisturizing hairspray, leave on conditioner is a must to revitalize your hair. You can also use an anti-frizz serum (applied to your hair when still wet) for extra protection.

Flaunt or fix your flaws...

As a teenager, I know first hand the pressure to be “perfect”. You need you be this, you need to be that. We all have flaws, we all have issues and it can really affect our self esteem.

People always say that the inner beauty is the most important and I agree with that completely. But that does not mean that you can just let your self go and in reality some people can be so mean and shallow that they only judge you on your physical appearance. Therefore there is nothing with being concern on how you look but don’t over do it though. Don’t spend hours getting ready in the morning. Don’t make how you look the priority.

Feeling like you look your best is easier said than done so for the next 12 post, I will be giving some tips to the common beauty and style problem. From losing weight to finding the perfect dress.

I will try my best to help you flaunt or fix you flaws, no surgery needed lol.

Top 1o basic wardrobe pieces for teens

1. WHITE SHIRT
- yes, a white shirt. A white shirt does not necessarily mean a school blouse, the one that I've been stuck with and still is because I go to a Catholic School or a classic white shirt that your mom wears in the office.

2. BLACK DRESS
- every girl should have a black dress in her closet. It's great for a last minute invite. You can wear it with heels or dress it down and wear it with flats.

3. TRENCH COAT
- not those classic stuffy ones. There are a lot of trench coats right now that are more fitted. They are now being made in slimmer cuts and more wearable fabrics.

4. DAY DRESS
- it's a great sweat suit alternative. Just wear it with flats and your set.

5. CASHMERE SWEATER
- once you try one on, you'll understand why.

6. SHORTS
- everyone can wear it but DON'T you dare wear this with another revealing piece like tube tops because you will look like you know...
Unless its summer, bright bold colors like yellow and printed shorts are a no no. If you can rock it, go ahead.

7. SKIRTS
- If you are short, the hemline should not hit below your knee.

8. DARK WASH STRAIGHT-LEG JEANS
- a well fitted jeans is essential. Super wide flares and and skinny jeans may be in right now but a straight- leg jeans will never go out of style.

9. BALLET FLATS
- it is a great alternative to heels. You don't need to be in pain to be stylish.

10. HIGH-HEELS
- I don't think that I need to say why... All you have to remember is don't buy it because you think it's cute. Make sure you can walk actually around in it comfortably.

Help stop world hunger- freerice.com

I accidentally came across this site, Freerice.com. I think the concept is fabulous. You just basically go to the site and answer some question. You don't need to register. You will be tested on your vocabulary. For each question that you answer correctly, the United Nations World Food Program donates 20 grains of rice.
It's amazing, you get smarter and you are also helping people to get free rice.
Every contribution will really make a difference...

spread the word...

Live a lie or live in reality?

Live a lie or live in reality?
Would you rather live in your illusion and be happy or live in reality and be miserable....

I just posted this question on yahoo answers and so far I'm getting great answers. My favorite answer at this moment is:
"what you don't know can hurt you...but if you know it, it only hurts you more. That's the philosophy I live by. And so yes, I would choose to live in an illusion, even if it only provides temporary happiness. If it's any happiness at all, I would take it."
by Gwarshness

I personally would choose to live in illusion and be happy. In that way if the time will come where I need to live in reality at least I've been happy before...
